World K´s Australia
In 1996 World K’s Australia Pty Ltd was established. ATRINITY CATTLE BREEDERS PTY LTD (TCB) in Melbourne started the F1 production with 2500 Angus breeding cows and beef cattle produced for exporting to Japan.
The cattle are now shipped alive to Japan and fattened with local crops and slaughtered in Japan. Having spent most of their lives in the country they are seen as Japanese Wagyu.
Each year approximately 12,000 animals are bred for export to Japan. This clearly shows the outstanding genetics of breeding and extensive experience with the descendants! They are accepted by the Japanese as top quality Wagyu cattle.
In 2002, sixteen Wagyu bulls and three heifers of America were shipped to Australia from the farm at Moses Lake. which then closed. Selection criteria were the meat yield and marbling. This year, the farm in Australia was moved to Forbes in New South Wales, a perfect location for cattle farming.
In the breeding program breeding experience plays a very important role because the quality comes not only from pedigree, but from the meat quality of the progeny. This quality is particularly evident in the F1-breeding programs, which globally are becoming more important.
WKS followed other regions of the world with the breeding and marketing of these unique and proven genetics. In the US, for example, Ralph Valdez is the long-standing partners of the WKS.
